End-user license agreement (EULA)

Version 2026-10-26.1. Your order records the version you accepted.

1. Scope

This agreement applies when you download, install or use PFCove, including during the trial. Buying a license is also governed by the terms of sale and the refund policy; where they differ about the purchase, the terms of sale prevail.

2. License

When you buy a license you receive a license key and a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use PFCove on up to the number of Macs at a time stated in the plan you bought (current plan: 3 Macs per key). This right does not expire unless it ends under "Termination".

Remove an old Mac on the Account page to activate another one.

3. Trial

Every Mac gets a free 14-day trial, no account needed. When the trial ends, the app asks for a license key and locks every feature until one is entered.

4. What you may not do

You may not resell, rent or publicly share a license key, or try to bypass, disable or forge the license check or the activation limit.

You may not reverse engineer, disassemble or modify the app, except where applicable law allows it notwithstanding this agreement.

5. Lifetime updates

The app checks for new versions and offers to install them; you choose when to update. A license covers every PFCove update released from now on, new major versions included, at no extra cost.

"Lifetime" means the lifetime of the PFCove product, that is for as long as we develop and release PFCove, not the lifetime of the buyer.

A key issued separately with a different version range (shown in its license e-mail and on the Account page) covers only that range.

6. Activation and the license server

The app needs an Internet connection to the PFCove license server to activate a Mac, and to refresh the license about every 7 days. Each successful refresh keeps the license valid on that Mac for 30 days; if the server cannot be reached, the app keeps working for a further 14-day grace period after that, then asks you to connect again to keep using it.

If PFCove development stops, your license stays valid: we keep the license server running, or, before shutting it down, release a final update that lets the app keep working without the server.

When it activates and refreshes, the app sends the data described in the privacy policy.

7. Termination

Your right to use the app ends when the license is revoked: when the order is refunded in full (including a refund within 14 days under the refund policy), when the payment is charged back, or when you break "What you may not do". The app then stops accepting the license on every Mac. The license is restored if a dispute is resolved in the seller's favour.

8. Warranty and liability

The app is provided as is to the extent the law allows. Some features rely on macOS behaviour that may change with system updates. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license.
