URL: https://pfcove.com/en/changelog

Every PFCove update, newest first: new features, improvements and fixes.

## Version 1.0.0 (Oct 26, 2026): PFCove 1.0 is here

- The first public release, signed and notarized by Apple: download it, drag it to Applications and open it.
- The notch becomes a Dynamic Island: Now Playing, volume and brightness, battery, headphones, calendar, reminders, weather and a file tray.
- AirDrop, FaceTime and message notices, lock screen widgets, Monochrome and Colorful styles, in English or Vietnamese.
- A 14-day free trial, activation with a license key and automatic updates.

## Version 0.82.0 (Oct 26, 2026): Full-screen video without the notch

- A full-screen window that sits below the camera housing, such as a video playing full screen in a browser, now hides the notch on that display. This needs the Accessibility permission.
- Trials, license activation, license checks and updates now go through pfcove.com.

## Version 0.67.0 (Oct 24, 2026): Fixes from testing on a Mac

- A file dragged from Finder opens the notch in every opening mode, so the file tray can always take it.
- The plugged-in notice shows a plug while the Mac holds its charge, and a bolt only while it charges.
- With the Both calendar style, the start time and the countdown show together.
- The artwork beside an upcoming event shows only while music plays; pausing brings the calendar symbol back.

## Version 0.65.0 (Oct 24, 2026): AirPods battery you can trust

- Battery levels now follow what macOS reports for each part, so they stay right with both buds in, one bud in, or both in the case.

## Version 0.64.0 (Oct 24, 2026): Finer control over every feature

- Updates: an option to download new versions automatically.
- Battery: separate notices for plugging in and unplugging.
- Notices: one setting (short, medium, long) for how long device notices stay.
- Volume and brightness: a feedback sound that follows the system setting, a ring style, and a tint by level or by accent colour.
- Now Playing: choose how long a paused player stays; the progress bar takes the colours of the artwork.
- Calendar: show a countdown, the start time or both; a privacy mode; a sound as an event comes up. Focus: hide the indicator while a Focus is on.
- Headphones: faster battery readings, the battery when sound moves to the headset, a notice on disconnect, newer AirPods and Beats models, and a ring battery style.
- Opening the notch: hover, click or press and hold; a swipe that follows your finger and a mouse drag to open or close it (both off by default).
- File tray: a copy mode that keeps working after the original file moves.
- Lock screen: the notch with Now Playing on the lock screen, a widget offset and a lighter frosted style.

## Version 0.60.0 (Oct 23, 2026): Reminders, countdowns and your language

- Reminders get their own page in the notch, with today's and overdue tasks.
- Each calendar event counts down, in hours when it is more than an hour away.
- Choose the app language (English or Vietnamese) in Settings and in the welcome guide.
- An option to hide the menu bar icon; the welcome guide comes back after you grant a permission.

## Version 0.43.0 (Oct 23, 2026): AirDrop, FaceTime and a Colorful style

- The notch announces AirDrop arrivals, ringing FaceTime calls and new messages.
- A Colorful style with a glowing aura, next to Monochrome.
- An Activity page lists today's events.
- Your music stays at hand while an event is announced; opened files bounce in the tray.

## Version 0.35.0 (Oct 23, 2026): A smoother notch and new Settings

- Content grows with the notch as it opens and closes, the player included.
- Settings in the style of System Settings: a sidebar, search and centred windows.
- Open a file held in the tray with a click.

## Version 0.28.0 (Oct 22, 2026): Headphones and keys

- The headphone icon turns like a 3D object when they connect.
- Headphones that leave without telling macOS are noticed; Bluetooth connections are steadier.
- The level bar glides while a volume or brightness key is held; F14 and F15 on external keyboards set the brightness.
- After sunset, the weather shows tomorrow's sunrise time.

## Version 0.13.0 (Oct 22, 2026): Pinned widgets and livelier motion

- Pin up to two widgets; when nothing plays, the notch lists the files in the tray.
- Opening and closing move with a more natural spring.
- Fixes from the first round on real Macs: volume and brightness keys reach every step, and opening the app again shows its window.
- Calendar access is requested when it was never asked for.

## Version 0.1.0 (Oct 22, 2026): The first version

- The notch becomes a Dynamic Island that opens when you hover or swipe.
- Now Playing with artwork and playback controls.
- Volume, brightness and keyboard backlight indicators in the notch.
- Battery and charging, Bluetooth connections and AirPods battery.
- Calendar, weather and Focus at a glance.
- A file tray: drop files on the notch to keep them at hand.
- Lock screen widgets.
- A 14-day free trial, activation with a license key, automatic updates and an optional beta channel.
